Presentation highlights:  Engineered Silica, both Fumed and Specialty precipitated silica are often the first additives and fillers chosen to enhance the performance of Laminating resin, Gelcoat and polyester putty.  The handling and use of the engineered silica can play a major part in the performance and stability of the unsaturated polyester system.  The information provided in this talk will support selection of engineered silica grades and describe how best to incorporate and disperse silica to maximize performance of the unsaturated polyester formulation.
